More than 60 of our customers submitted name suggestions for our toy sheep mascot that graces the entrance to the rug showroom at American Rug Laundry. Creativity and cuteness abounded, but ultimately the winner we chose paid homage to the fine Minneapolis neighborhood we have proudly been a part of since 1918. So it is our pleasure to introduce everyone to our very own embraceable ewe: Lulu Longfellow.
For her winning entry, Jolee of Minneapolis (also a Longfellow community member) wins a beautiful 3’ 1” x 4’ 7” handmade Indian carpet with a pattern described as “China Dice.” Like every other rug in our store it has a pile woven of 100% natural, infinitely renewable wool: the world’s greenest fiber and the reason we selected Lulu to greet our rug shoppers.
